the nhs challenge

University project highlighting an issue affecting people within a 10-mile radius of Swansea. My mother is a midwife working in a local NHS hospital so I created the NHS challenge. The NHS challenge is a campaign to raise awareness and support for the NHS and its workers at a time when workers were striking.

The aim of the project is to put the public through mental and physical challenges to see if they are as tough as an NHS worker, in the form of an event as well as an app that can be accessed at the gym. This campaign was sparked from a conversation I had with an acquaintance at the gym, who had disdain for the NHS and the strikes. I used data collected from my mother and her colleagues, who are all maternity staff, to create these challenges.

Using the NHS logo alongside icons which represent the NHS workers stories, the campaigns mission as well as the physical and mental challenges

Set of three digital posts that highlight the NHS challenge event and also try to emulate the situations that workers face on a daily basis. The first poster shows the physical aspect of the job in the form of a game, highlighting good and bad days. The second poster is a simple maths equation, designed with clashing colours to try and mimic the stress of the job

Deliverables that would be given to participants of the NHS challenge event such as t-shirts, tote bags and stickers as well as name badges and lanyards which are a staple of the NHS workers uniform
